Carla E. Anderton holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Seton Hill University. Ms. Anderton has published poetry, essays, short fiction and plays, as well as completed a historical fiction novel, The Heart Absent. For nearly five years, Ms. Anderton served as Editor-in-Chief of a regional monthly newsmagazine, California Focus. Additionally, she sat on the planning committees for several arts events, including Arts in the City in Uniontown, PA, has acted as the communications director for local political candidates and is the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding web design and content. Currently, Ms. Anderton serves as the President of the Board of Directors at Jozart Center for the Arts in California, PA, where she lives with her son, a 14-year old pre-professional dancer.
