Carla E. Anderton holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Seton Hill University. Ms. Anderton has published poetry, essays, short fiction and plays, as well as completed a historical fiction novel, The Heart Absent, which was published by New Libri Press in April 2013. A recognized expert on Jack the Ripper, she frequently speaks/lectures on the subject of the elusive killer. For nearly five years, Ms. Anderton served as Editor-in-Chief of a regional monthly newsmagazine, California Focus. Currently, Ms. Anderton is an adjunct professor of English and public speaking. Additionally, she is the Editor-in-Chief of Pennsylvania Bridges magazine. She has served as the President of the Board of Directors at Jozart Center for the Arts since 2010.
